Evelin Turlich: Actually I know of quite a few. Even being christians sometimes one or the other or both lose sight of the christian way and don't follow God. I know of christian marriages where the husband cheated or the wife. Ultimately to me whether it's Buddah, Muhammad,Jehovah, Jesus, Mary, Hindu whatever religion doesn't matter really but the common ground and interest do. It is definitely a myth that no christian marriage is tested or unhappy at times. Maybe some are but for these very reasons some aren't. At the end of the day everyone is human and is capable of making mistakes thus including christians. I.e pastors who commit adultery, pastors wives that do. You see what I'm saying true happiness is in contentment and appreciation and truly loving someone the way God loves us! Loving the way God does is not easy for anyone. I mean that's God and I personally haven't met one christian yet except my gra! ndmother who really had a loving spirit that never ended. I think everyone else is tried, tested and taken through before truly claiming to know what love is. 1 Corinthians 13 vs 1-12 I believe explain what love is. Madie Strople: Many marriages fail to establish a set of rules and agreements on what is acceptable, what isn't and establish a methodology for addressing issues. Those which do establish rules do better. Since the whole religion thing is designed to provide a set of rules to live by, most couples will acquiesce to the rules no matter how obtrusive, eg "a wife must submit to her husband". While oppressive, the fact there is any rule helps establish good order and discipline. So probably those who have a set of rules to live by would tend to be happier.
