Veta Slicker: I love my crock pot and I like to throw in some beef (or pork) ribs (enough for one person) .. and cook them on low most of the day. Then about two hours before their ready to eat, I dump in some bottled bbq sauce. Yummy!I also put a whole chicken (or for one person, a chicken breast or two .. think leftovers) in my crock pot. Bailey Lares: Cooking for one is a hard thing to do. Here's what I ! do. Cook a meal, eat what you want, freeze it. This works well with chili, sloppy joes, I also freeze chicken and noodles. You can pretty much freeze anything once it's cooked. You can make any kind of soup or stew in a crook pot. As for meat, just fill the crock up with water, through the meat in with whatever seasonings you want and let it cook. Meatloaf is another thing that you can make in a crock. Just mix it the same way you do for the oven. It also freezes well. My best suggestion is just experiment when you have time....Show more

Robin Marchione: I love crock pots! Get a small roast, some small yellow potatos, carrots, onions and a season packet. You can cook it on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. Hope it helps!

Rodolfo Merel: crock pots are out because they! take up too much energy, and these days who knows where they were made and if they will catch on fire....college kids don't have the money to make "meals"....have a potato for dinner with butter...make some noodles and shake some cheese on there or add in some already cooked ham pieces...or eat tv dinners (there's lots of different kinds and different meals). ....so get yourself a microwave and heat yourself some ramen noodles and add to it what you like and have bread with it....Show more

Potroast 1 beef roast 1 can new! potatoes 1 can carrots 1 pkg lipton beefy onion soup Drain veggies Put roast in pot and sprinkle with soup put in veggies and 1 cup water Cook on low for at least 12 hours and then enjoy.
