What is a good idea for a small business?

Jesse Pirieda: Sounds like you've got the estate, what you will have to do is get a couple of pipe corrals, fence off a few pasture land and perform a little horse boarding. As for the minature horse trade, it may be hard. There is not alot of call for proper now for the mini's, no less than now not in CA, and there may be alot that is going into breeding, caring for a pregnant mare, foaling, and so forth., so your fees might be top and your advantages might be low.

Sibyl Siwik: I don't know much about having a food cart except from reading some things and having a friend or two that had one here in Cal. It is an expensive start up. Some things to consider--the cart can cost several thousand dollars; then there's your inventory; add licenses and whatever health regulations you need to pass. Those are off the top of my head, you may want to have a chat with a food cart vendor. If you're stuck on doing a vending type business, you may think about selling non-food! items, maybe tourist souvenirs or something. If you're not stuck on vending, but looking for reasonable, stable small businesses to start, I suggest a cleaning business. Your location sounds like it might be ideal for either residential or office cleaning. If that sounds interesting to you, see my profile for more information and tips on starting....Show more
