Most certificates are absolutely worthless....this goes triple for any certificate earned online. However there are exceptions to the them all being worthless....certificates for things like Office applications for admin assistants does have value. Tracy Huesso: As others have said it depends on the career and what other credentials you have. I have about 25 IT related certs. If you hope that a certificate will be a substitute for a degree that is just not true. Many employers don't value certs. An job candidate with a degree, experience and some certs is the most desirable. If you only have certs then not so much.Best wishes!...Show more
