If you're a general's wife, the whole army will be lining up to be your customers, but I bet you're not a general's wife. The best thing I know of to get started is actually pretty hard. Decide to knock on a certain number of doors every day and introduce yourself. Keep notes on what happened at each address and after six months, go back and start knocking on those same doors again.
