This is "women's health"--doesn't anybody care about science or medicine?

A lot of people answer with just an opinion, others have experience and others actually know what they are talking about (medical professionals).Others just say "IDK" or something that makes no sense at all. It's the internet. People are just bored.I followed that link that you posted and it was quite interesting. I'd still like to look further into it though. The women that answered just couldn't relate to it. A lot of girls get their period when they are 10 or 11, so they just thought it was normal. Melissa Lavallie: Well I answered that question as well and said that I don't think so but there c! ould be a correlation. You see as a woman that's been sexually abused who got my period way earlier than my mom did, I still have doubts about it because we are all so different biologically. But that girl who asked, her problem wasn't so much her period, its getting over the fact that she was abuse. She just needs to deal with and move on with her life. Her period came at the age when it did, but she is reliving the abuse asking questions that won't get rid of the fact that she was abused. And women are sympathetic and even if it does relate, does it really matter, you couldn't prevent the abuse or the mensuration from coming, she just needed to deal with what haunts her and move on with her life....Show more
