Jannie Ariola: Yes, the process of stopping the hardware will end reading and writting to the disk, especially risky for flash cards and flash drives to be removed while still being accessed.

Sherita Gallati: Yes, you do. It makes sure that any read/writes are finished (including delayed writes which people forget about) before the computer tells you "It is now safe to remove...".

Bettye Arre: Its good to use safe remover option for thumb driver

Charissa Bichsel: YES if you don't and there is reading or writing going on you may lose everything !

Eli Trapeni: in the starting up, in case you pick to proceed using those drives, i'm assuming you advise leap drives, then do no longer use properly eliminate Hardware. once you try this it stops the pastime of that stress and rpevents it from any further use till the equipment is restarted. purely unplug the gadget and also you could reuse it later.

Hal Rouse: It's not exactly necessary to do the "Sa! fely Remove Hardware" before unplugging devices like pen drives. If you wait a good 5 seconds after writing the data, there's not much chance that there is any writing process still going on and hence, of any data loss. But nonetheless, it is how you can be 100% sure, especially with older pen drives.

Edwina Fu: it is a good idea to remove any chances of any files being destroyed or whatever....it doesnt take long..
